“…the ass is full of sensitive, responsive nerve endings, and the stimulation of these nerve endings can be intensely pleasurable—and orgasmic—for both men and women.”
Tristan Taormino is a well-known sex educator, writer, speaker, and filmmaker. In the span of her career, she has written eight books related to sex.
I first heard of Taormino when registering to attend CatalystCon East. She was teaching two sessions of her Sex Educator Boot Camp. I attended and she was wonderful. This led me to pick up her book on anal sex.
The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women is very well-written. In its second edition, Taormino ensures that the information provided relates, not only to female-bodied people, but also to male-bodied people. She uses terms like “giver” and “receiver” frequently, in order to avoid the assumption that a female-bodied person is the one always received penetration.
Taormino covers the topic of anal sex extensively, from the ever-present worry of hygiene and cleanliness to the possibilities and techniques of bondage and pegging. She discusses each topic openly and honestly, offering some of her preferences in the process.
Even though this book is directed toward “women,” I highly recommend that people of any gender read it, especially if you and/or your partner(s) are curious about or interested in any kind of anal play. Taormino will direct you on a safe and pleasurable course.
