30-day Novel: Day #21

Total Word Count: 10,627

I managed to write 64 words yesterday.  It wasn’t much, but at least I wrote something.  I’m really not feeling this novel.  I think part of the problem is that I’m not writing about anything I’ve experienced.  I think I might do better if I wrote something a little closer to myself, something more personal.  I need to spend a little more time pondering that and see where it takes me.

In any case, yesterday was my first day as a Chrysler employee.  I spent the first part of it at the world headquarters in new-hire orientation.  Wow, boring.  They really need to arrange orientation sessions for people that already work for the company (e.g., contractors).  After orientation, I came home to continue working on my front porch in the sun.

In the evening, I attempted to go to an endocrinology appointment and was turned away (see “We don’t accept cash patients.”).  Such is life.  I spent the evening watching Breaking Bad.  I also finished reading The Fountainhead.

I may not have written much, but at least I was productive in my own way. 🙂
